A Day at the Races

With the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains as a backdrop, Santa Anita Park in nearby Arcadia provides a picturesque setting for horse racing. For more than 30 years, City Club members, family, and guests have enjoyed a day of thoroughbred horse racing, lunch on the Club House Terrace, and the thrill of picking winners.

For many years, the event was held on a weekday and the San Marino Handicap was a feature race. However, in recent years the day at Santa Anita has been held on a Saturday or Sunday.  In 2006, 68 attendees thoroughly enjoyed the sights and sounds of horse racing on a Sunday afternoon in March.

The 2008 Day at the Races will be held on Sunday, March 30th.  See the flyer for more details.
