Larry Wilson

 

Larry Wilson, Pasadena Star News Editor

Larry Wilson is editor of the Pasadena Star-News, the city and surrounding area's 124-year-old daily, with a circulation of 35,000.

He has worked as a freelance journalist, a copy editor at Rolling Stone Press in New York City and a technical writer for Parsons in Pasadena and in Saudi Arabia. Formerly his paper's and then newspaper group's editorial-page editor, he has been Star-News
editor for 10 years.

He has a bachelor's in English from UC Berkeley, where he studied poetry and was the music critic for the Daily Californian, and a master's from the American Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix. A fourth-generation Pasadenan, he graduated
from Blair High in 1973, and now lives in the Linda Vista neighborhood with his wife, Phoebe Wall Wilson, an architect, and their daughter Julia, 14, an eighth-grader at Sequoyah School.

The dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the public is welcome to attend this community event.  Please make your reservations early by calling Al Boegh at (562) 422-6992 x225.  Members' dinners are covered by dues, guest dinners are $20.

City Club is a community and civic organization, which was founded in 1926.  Residents of the San Marino Unified School District, officials of the School District or the City of San Marino, and persons who conduct their business or profession within the School District are eligible for membership in City Club.  To apply for membership or for more information, call Bert Becker, Membership Chairman, at 626 441-3414.
