San Marino City Club
February Dinner Meeting – Tuesday, February 16, 2010
at San Marino Center
Reception - 5:30 p.m.
Dinner - 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Vincent Fortanasce, M.D, clinical professor of neurology, psychiatrist, nationally recognized bioethicist and author will speak to the City Club on February 16th

“Preventing Alzheimer’s”

Dr. Fortanasce was driven to find a cure for Alzheimer's upon the agonizing experience of his father's diagnosis of the mind-robbing disease, and shocking discovery of his family history in 2005. He recognized modern medicine's failure and false promises. "There is no magic bullet…no pill to stop Alzheimer's." Through his research he discovered a comprehensive program to prevent or delay the onset of this memory-erasing disease.

Please make your reservations by e-mail to cityclubrsvp@gmail.com or by calling (626) 287-3434.  Member’s dinners are covered by annual membership.  Guests are $20 (please pay at the door).

San Marino City Club, commonly called "City Club," is a community and civic organization, which has served San Marino since 1926.  Its purpose is to secure for the citizens of San Marino Unified School District the best civic, educational and cultural services and facilities possible, and to encourage and promote the highest standards of citizenship among its membership.

Founded as the San Marino Civic Improvement Association, the organization was renamed San Marino City Club and met for many years exclusively at Southwestern Academy.  City Club now meets at the San Marino Center, with an annual September barbecue meeting, traditionally at Southwestern Academy, and an annual event at the Huntington Library

City Club is limited to residents of the San Marino Unified School District, officials of the School District or the City of San Marino, and persons who conduct their business or profession within the School District.  Membership is granted in strict order of application.  Annual dues, including eight regular dinner meetings, are $105.
